Professor Emily Stone
Professor Stone is a senior respiratory physician, Head of Department, Thoracic Medicine at St Vincent's Hospital Sydney and Conjoint Professor at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. She founded the St Vincent's Hospital and Kinghorn Cancer Centre Lung Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, chairing it until 2021 and continues as a clinical lead in lung cancer medicine with an active pulmonary oncology research program. She led the NSW arm of the International Lung Screen Trial which contributed pivotal data leading to the establishment of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program. She has an international research track record in lung cancer screening, tobacco control and multidisciplinary team care as well as biobanking through the national TRACKER research program. She is Board Chair of the Thoracic Oncology Group of Australasia and Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Thoracic Oncology Clinical Research Reports.
