Dr Monique Heinke

Radiation Oncologist
BSc (Hons Class 1), PhD, MBBS, FRANZCR, Radiation Oncologist

Dr Monique Heinke completed her specialist training in radiation oncology in 2019 working at a number of cancer centres including Liverpool, Campbelltown, Wollongong and St George Hospital before working as a clinical fellow at Liverpool and Nepean Hospitals. She has subspecialty interests in breast, skin, lung and blood (haematological) cancers.

Monique has a PhD in protein biochemistry, investigating molecular changes in heart failure, from the University of Sydney. She has an ongoing interest in research in the areas of the use of MRI in radiotherapy planning, the outcomes of lung cancer multidisciplinary care, palliative radiotherapy, and Monique has presented at local and international conferences.

She is an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and involved in medical training and education.

Monique is a dual Olympian in rowing, having competed the 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Olympics. She continues to row and is a selector for the NSW State Team.
