What is Head & Neck Cancer?
These are cancers in the areas of the mouth, throat, and related structures. Complex head & neck cancers often need highly skilled surgery and are best managed by a multidisciplinary team to improve care and outcomes. Learn more: head & neck cancer

The Head and Neck Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) is a group of healthcare professionals who collaborate to provide comprehensive care for individuals diagnosed with head and neck cancers.

The MDT is chaired by Associate Professor Richard Gallagher, a head and neck surgeon. It is attended by surgical oncologists, plastic surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, imaging specialists, dentists, dietitians, speech pathologists, nurses and social workers. Meetings are held weekly.
