What is Urological Cancer?
Urological cancers include cancers that affect the urinary system and male reproductive organs. One example is bladder cancer—a rare type of urological cancer that’s more common in men and typically affects people over 60. Specialist centre care under a multidisciplinary team (MDT) is strongly advised for the most complex cases. Learn more: Urology
The Urology Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) is a group of healthcare professionals who collaborate to provide comprehensive care for individuals diagnosed with urological cancers, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer and kidney cancer.
The MDT is chaired by Dr David Ende, a urologist. It is attended by surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, imaging specialists, nurses and social workers. Meetings are held fortnightly.
